About us
Stella Child Care Center infant/ toddler program is a fully licensed group childcare center. Our program serves children from 6 months to 3 years of age. Children begin through a process of gradual entry which allows the children to become comfortable in this new environment. We provide physical, intellectual, emotional, social and creative development through play and exploration. We are interested in the children’s abilities in our care and celebrate the diversity of our families and the community.
At Stella Child Care Centre, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming environment for all children. Our unique programs incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interest in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning. About me
My name is Maryam, I have over a decade worth of experience working with children. I have completed my early child education at the Lucas Centre and continued my studies by completing the infant and toddler program at Capilano University. I have also studied at Vienne Austrua pedagogy for special needs children which has allowed me to be able to care for a variety of children with different needs. Stella Daycare has been open since 2009 and continues to provide excellent childcare to support working parents.
Mission
We believe that children thrive in an environment which values their own uniqueness, while providing support and opportunities to grow emotionally, socially and creatively. By building on each child’s strengths, interests and curiosities, we guide each child to explore the world around them as well as develop new abilities and form close relationships.

I highly recommend Stella Childcare! Both my children went and loved going there every day to play with the teachers and other children. My husband and I had complete ease of mind while we were at work. Maryam is a very friendly and nurturing teacher, along with the other teachers, and you can tell all the children are extremely loved and well taken care of. Stella Childcare program has a wonderful balance of circle time, songs, arts and crafts, story time, and lots of outside play. The snacks and meals provided are nutritious and my kids loved the food. I wish I had another child so we could stay a little longer at
